The Wild Thing Sub

The Wild Thing Sub was spawned from the success I had with the Wild Thing model. I took the Wild Thing and made it shorter, wider, and flatter for the Sub model to excel in more average conditions.

Similar to the Wild Thing we see the same continuous rocker profile just slightly lower for both entry and exit rocker. For the outline I went with a slightly wider nose and tail template which resulted in a straighter rail line which helps the board maintain speed down the line. With that straighter rail line the hip placed behind the fins is a bit more accentuated here creating a release point. A bit more of a dramatic double concave and more vee coming out of the tail on the Sub version of the Wild Thing as well.

The results with this board have been an outstanding board for your more average conditions. It still holds up to a foot or so overhead. This board paddles like a dream and is ultra intuitive and easy to surf while still meeting the demands of high performance. It is the perfect board to fit in your quiver between your groveler and your good wave board. Speed, intuition, and smooth performance are the name of the game with this board.
