The Wild Thing
The Wild Thing is an absolute workhorse of a performance shortboard. It is reliable, intuitive and easy to surf while still meeting all the high performance demands you could need. It has a smooth elliptical outline with a mild hip just behind the front fins for release, continuous rocker on the medium side of the spectrum for entry and exit rocker, mild single concave to a subtle double between the fins to slight vee out of the tail, and medium fullness “soft” shaped rails.
Part of the trick to making this board feel so easy to surf is how quickly it gets up to speed. All good things in performance surfing need you to have speed to execute your maneuvers. The foil, rocker template, and just a touch more width in the nose help this board have so much get up and go. The Wild Thing ticks all the boxes for your performance shortboard.
