The Homage

A classic California noserider here. Paying homage to the foundations of surfing in the great state of California. The 50’s and 60’s era of California surfing cemented the surf lifestyle into our culture for generations to come. Without that crew we certainly would not be where we are now in the surf world.

History lessons aside this is a board I love building. Classic California nose rider elements included in this board are a wide square tail, wider nose template accompanied by a straighter rail line, and a classic curvy Bruce Jones style rocker. In lieu of a spoon nose we have a heavy nose concave blended into a flat section just ahead of center, and then a rolled vee from the center through the tail. This model can hold trim great when nose riding, glide smoothly into waves, and pull pivot turns off the tail. A slightly downturned rail towards the tail helps this board excel in both beach break and point breaks. The 50/50 rail through center and the nose help this board grip the face and pull the board forward through any section. An excellent longboard for a wide variety of long boarding waves.
