The Lingcod
The Lingcod is a hybrid. Somewhere between a shortboard and a performance fish. Ridden stock as a twin with a small trailer fin. The idea here is a board that can perform in good surf and make the less the ideal conditions a lot more fun. The Lingcod features a pretty flat rocker, thicker foil forward, a curvy outline with a wider nose template but pulled in tail, and a bump wing placed right behind the front fins. It has pretty low rails in the tail which help the board bite and have hold in more solid surf. The thicker foil forward accompanied with the wider nose really help this board catch waves easily and skate through flat sections of the wave.
The result with this board has been a super fast, sparky, and fun board. Just something that you can’t help but smile when you’re surfing it. The perfect board to slide into your quiver when you don’t quite want to ride a shortboard and want to go fast and maybe have a little edge catching waves early when surfing in a crowd.
Recommended ordering your Lingcod a few inches shorter than you standard shortboard and riding it with T1 Alpha futures fins.
